About the Direct Payments Portal

The Direct Payments Portal helps people in Wales find Personal Assistants and connect Direct Payment recipients with the support they need.

What is a Direct Payment?

A direct payment is money provided by your local authority so you can arrange your own care and support. This gives you more choice and control over the help you receive.

What does this portal do?

This portal allows:

  • Personal Assistants (PAs) to create a profile so Direct Payment recipients can find them.
  • Direct Payment Recipients (DPRs) to post vacancies and search for Personal Assistants.
  • Local Authorities to support residents in finding suitable care arrangements.

Who runs this service?

This portal is operated by Data Cymru and powered by Dewis Cymru, in partnership with Welsh local authorities.
